How’s that for a movie tagline? That’s up there with Citizen Kane’s “It’s Terrific!” or the infamous slogan for Since You Went Away, “The Most Important Four Words Since Gone with the Wind.” One of the best things that ever happened? I would love for movies to have those kinds of balls today. Of course, then they would have to be as awesome as The Empire Strikes Back, and I’m not sure that’s going to happen.
March 1999: “Oh boy! More Star Wars is on the way! These are my favorite movies, and I’m sure that the new films will be excellent in their own right. I can’t wait to see all the new characters and finally meet a Jedi at the height of his powers!”
September 2011: “Oh, Jesus. I’d rather watch Howard the Duck on repeat or a marathon of The Young Indiana Jones Chronicles than even think about what happened to Star Wars.”
